Good morning!  So yesterday I (an EMT at Capron Rescue Squad) received a phone call from one of the chiefs of Capron Rescue Squad informing me that the chiefs and the board of trustees had voted me off of the squad during a special meeting several days ago because I have 'a problem with authority.'  Hmmm, might that problem have anything to do with me beginning to ask questions last month about what appears to be the illegal use of taxpayer funds?  One of the board members told me that one of the chiefs had a problem with me because I had filed a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act request) request to try to get to the bottom of what is going on there.  Has anyone ever heard of the Illinois Whistleblower Protection and Reward Act?  More to come soon, I promise this will only get better!
